Once from my hosted site to wordpress.com (100% successful) and once, just 7 days later from wordpress. com to a new hosted site. * The second export, whilst apparently successful (ie all posts and comments are actually present in the xml file) is unsuccessful at the import stage… refusing to import anything after october 2006 to the new site. * I’ve had to resort to using the older exported blog from the previous hosted site, and that was 100% successful However I am unable to import the posts from the past week from wordpress.com * Anyone else tried this? Anyone got any suggestions? Should I just do a manual repost of all posts and comments? Checked the web server’s error logs? * At a guess, I wonder if you’re hitting an php upload limit. Its just weird. In the end, I just decided to never-mind about the few comments and manually added a few of the posts I made over the past week. The two files I have are also identical, except for the fact that the wordpress.com one has an additional 5-6 posts, plus comments. If so how? * I was thinking that if not, then I could pull all the posts from the spare blog( there are only about 10 posts), then just delete the ones I didn’t want. * Would this work?
