# Export function not working

 * Hi,
 * I don’t know whether this is an multisite problem or not but the export function
   doesn’t work anymore. I’ve had the problem once before but I figured out that
   Firefox was causing the problem. This time it doesn’t work in any browser.
    The
   export is basically running and running without getting an xml file to save. 
   Sometimes I’m getting an server time out error. I tried to deactivate all plugins,
   changed the themes… no luck.
 * Any other ideas or suggestions?

 * It could be a combination of a large amount of content to export and a server
   with low resources and/or low timeout threshold. If you’re intending to use the
   XML to import into another site, you may want to consider doing it as an SQL 
   via phpMyAdmin or similar instead.

 * As karp suggested, it’s probably big data + php memory. How big is that site’s
   wp_x_posts table?

   problem…
