hm, not included. I will check this.
I have tested it, the items are all inside the json file, also the his settings.
Have your problems, errors after the import?
like:
{
"mw_adminimize_admin_bar_nodes": {
"user-actions": {
"id": "user-actions",
"title": false,
"parent": "my-account",
"href": false,
"group": true,
"meta": []
},
"user-info": {
...
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_administrator_items": ["new-content"],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_editor_items": [],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_author_items": [],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_contributor_items": [],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_subscriber_items": [],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_employee_items": [],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_author_clone_items": [],
"mw_adminimize_disabled_admin_bar_custom_role_items": [],
No, I don´t get any errors.
The problem is that after the import those settings are not checked at all.
When I export and import the settings, I get the message:
Please upload a valid .json file
Has something broken? It has worked before. I have tested on several different websites and it does not work anywhere.
” When I export and import the settings, I get the message:
Please upload a valid .json file ”
I have the same issue.
I exported settings before updating, saved the file as .json as instructed.
When I try to upload/import the saved file, it gives me this statement(Please upload a valid .json file)
I saw a similar thread where you had a person previously download and try and github version(unreleased?); But I tried this and did the same import attempt in which, it gave just a blank white screen when clicking the button as opposed to the white screen showing the [Please upload a valid .json file] message.
Really enjoyed this plugin up to this point, hopefully this issue can be resolved soon.. Waiting for help from @bueltge
In response to specifically: ”
settings for “Admin Bar Back end Options” and “Admin Bar Front end Options” are not included.
”
In my experience, in those sections, there is often a message saying:
”
You must open the front end of the site in this browser in order for the plugin to discover the Admin Bar items that are currently not visible.”
I have never understood why, why it would function like this, but maybe you(original poster) will find this helps just a little bit?
Maybe the whole reason for this being there or functioning will be addressed for improvements also at some point in time, but it’s probably less urgent for me as long as the rest of it would work
The Ex-/Import was fixed for the next version. You can try the latest dev version in here: https://github.com/bueltge/Adminimize/archive/master.zip
The latest dev version has fixed import bug and wrong plugin setting and many more.
