# Export Posts with Media

 * Just wondering if anyone knows, for sure, a way to export posts, using export
   feature in WP but to include media?
 * I have seen many, many posts on this but none really seem to resolve the issue…
   from what I can see 🙂
 * My situation is, I have a main site, and a number of smaller sites. I would like
   to import into the smaller sites some posts that also have the images from my
   main site.
 * So exporting posts from a certain category from the main site isn’t a problem
   however this never has media.
 * Any thoughts on this would be great. I need to do this every month so something
   simple and quick would be ideal however I fear this may not be the case.

 * How are you doing the export? If you select `Download and import file attachments`
   that should also pull down the attachments _provided the smaller site can reach
   the original site_.
 * Once you have the posts into your smaller site you’ll (probably) need to do some
   bulk deletions of the posts you don’t want.
 * Try one of these plugins for that part.

 * Hi Jan,
 * Thanks for getting back.
 * What I have done on the main site is created a post category called…say…’small
   site’
 * On the posts I want to export, and this may only be 10 I include them in this
   category.
 * So to export I go to Tools > Export and select ‘Posts’.
    Then select the category
   I wish to export…great. From here however there is no option to include the images
   that go with the posts…this is the problem.
 * I have seen many with this problem and was wondering how on earth I can easily
   include the images with the posts to export?
