Title: Export request for xml opens a post Last modified: March 31, 2022 --- # Export request for xml opens a post * [sushiling](https://wordpress.org/support/users/sushiling/) * (@sushiling) * [4 years, 2 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/export-request-for-xml-opens-a-post/) * I haven’t found a similar problem here, so I start a new request. * Whenever I try to export a xml-file (export data) through my dashboard/toolbar, my WP opens a post! The button “Export-Datei herunterladen” (something like “ start download”) seems to be linked to a post I wrote in 2018. I deleted the post, but then WP simply chooses another post. * I have no idea what to do. I do not use a plugin for creating this xml and have never done so. So there shouldn’t be any remains of a plugin or so that might mess up. * The problem is showing up steadily, no matter if I choose to download all data, posts only, media only or whatever. Another fun part: updating the WP version hasn’t changed a thing. * Does anybody know what to do in this case?
