I use a service that delivers the feed updates of my feeds to Twitter and Facebook. It works fine if the exported RSS is updated. However, this never happens until I go to the RSS address and press F5.

After that the feed is updated and the service deliver the messages. If I did no do it, nothing happens. I wait the entire day, today, have a lot of new feeds (as I could see in the page with the shortcode) and the exported feed only update when I press F5.

    What am I doing wrong?

I’m not sure what this has to do with my plugin…are you saying you’re using my plugin to read the feeds?

I guess the problem is not with the plugin itself, but some errors in the exported rss feed.

I have made a validation of the rss feed and it returned some issues, like “pubdate” instead “pubDate”, and other things I could correct. Now it is valid but it’s showing another problems:

    I don’t know why it’s not updating.

again, are you using my plugin to read and display the feeds? If so, are you using the feed to post or the shortcode? If the feed to post, can you update it by doing it manually (at the bottom of the feed to post admin page)?

    I am using shortcode.

the shortcode pulls in the feed in real time…if the shortcode isn’t showing new items it could be for 2 reasons – either the rss feeds don’t have new items or you have some caching plugin that is keeping the page from updating.

Well, It does have new items as one could see in the page where the shortcode is shown. And I don’t have any caching plugin.

ok..if there is no caching, then right now the shortcode simply pulls in real time whatever is in the RSS feed right now. Look at the RSS feed directly (put it into a firefox browser) and you can see the entries and compare that to what is showing on your page with the shortcode.

Ok… I don’t know exactly what’s going on, but right now it is working in a way that it’s fine to me. Thanks.
