 * Urgent Help Needed!!!
 * I had a blog on WordPress.com and I just signed up for hosting with BlueHost.
   I have been unsuccessful in exporting my files to the Blue Host server because
   my export needs to be in SQL format instead of XML. Can someone please tell me
   how to do this? How do I export using SQL so I can get my site up?

 * You can import the XML file after you’ve installed WordPress on Bluehost.
 * Take a look at [http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/](http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/)

   There are instructions for moving to WordPress.org

 * The only way to transfer using sql is if you have backup database and wordpress.
   com do not allow you to install any plugins unless they have one installed that
   you can use to backup your database.

 * I’m having the EXACT same problem. Despite BlueHost being on the wordpress recommended
   list, they have no idea how to get my wordpress.com blog over to them to host.
   I’ve downloaded wordpress on their site and tried to import in XML, at their
   suggestion, but it doesn’t work. They told me the same thing, to get the database
   copy, which wordpress won’t give out. BlueHost is very clueless about what to
   do for a hosting company that is recommended on wordpress.
