# External Link

 * I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. In addition to the Yoast
   SEO plugin, I also use the Easy WP SEO plugin to help me get the best possible
   on page SEO. Easy WP SEO recommends using the primary keyword in a page or post
   and turning it into an external link to a relevant, high ranking authority site.
   When I do this I get a message under the Yoast SEO page analysis tab stating “
   You’re linking to another page with the keyword you want this page to rank for,
   consider changing that if you truly want this page to rank.” Now I may well be
   misunderstanding something, but at this point I don’t know if I should be using
   a primary keyword to link to an external authority site. Would I be better off
   using an LSI keyword?
