# External Links causing 524 error?

 * I have been using External Links for years without issue. But, today I went into
   the ‘Exceptions’ tab to add a link to the Exceptions list and when I click “save
   changes”, it hangs for a long time and eventually results in a 524 error. Is 
   this because of the plugin?

 * 524 is a timeout error, since we’ve never had this reported before I really doubt
   it’s related to WP External Links. Do you only get this error when saving WP 
   External Links settings?
