 * Hi,
 * I’m having issues with external links not being track and I’m trying pinpoint
   the issue.
 * While looking though the options I see under “External Pages”
    Add the following
   code to all the non-WP pages you want to track
 * when comparing the code what’s on my page source and what’s under External Pages
   I see some differences.
 * The part of the code after “ci” is different (not sure if I should be posting
   it here) also this script type section is different:
 * From Slimstat:
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”[http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.js”></script&gt](http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.js”></script&gt);
 * The one on my page source looks like this:
 * <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’[http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.min.js’></script&gt](http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.min.js’></script&gt);
 * My question is could this cause the plugin not to track outbound clicks correctly
   and how do I insert the proper code?
 * Thanks,
 * Marek
 * P.S. I’m using the latest version which is 3.9.6

 * Hi,
 * version 3.9.6 introduced a new stronger encryption key, to make Slimstat even
   more secure. This means that all the external codes, as explained in the message
   displayed in the dashboard after the upgrade and in the changelog here on this
   site, need to be updated in order for the tracker to work again. Also, if you’re
   using a caching plugin, you will need to clear its cache to allow Slimstat to
   regenerate the tracking code on all the pages.
 * Cheers,
    Camu

 * Thanks for the reply,
 * I did see that message thought it would be taken care of automatically but it
   didn’t. I don’t use any caching plugin.
 * I just reinstalled it and it still inserts this:
 * <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’[http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.min.js’&gt](http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.min.js’&gt);
 * instead of this
 * <script type=”text/javascript” src=”[http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.js”></script&gt](http://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/trunk/wp-slimstat.js”></script&gt);
 * and the “ci” doesn’t match what’s under ‘Add the following code to all the non-
   WP pages you want to track’

 * That signature is unique for each “internal” page in your site. If you’re tracking
   pages outside of WordPress, then all the ci’s on those is the same. Hope this
   helps.
 * What’s the URL?

 * Thanks,understand the ‘ci’s. I’m not tracking any pages outside of WordPress

   How about the difference between these two files ?
 * wp-slimstat.min.js
    wp-slimstat.js
 * under script type. Is it normal?

 * OK. Thanks, I’m assuming that after reinstalling the plugin everything should
   work fine. If it doesn’t I’ll be back 🙂

 * Just to give you a heads up, after reinstalling everything works fine.
 * I’m thinking about buying your Heatmap plugin, but before I do that I need to
   know the impact it would have on my VPS server. Your website doesn’t provide
   too much info. Could you please elaborate more on this subject.
 * Thanks,

 * If you want to use the heatmap add-on, you’ll have to configure Slimstat to track
   all the interactions your users have with the website, including positions and
   other data on clicks performed on internal links. This feature increases the
   amount of data collected by the plugin, thus requiring more space in the database,
   and using more server resources.
 * Hope this helps,
    Camu
