Title: extortion Last modified: September 3, 2016 --- # extortion * [unoriginal23](https://wordpress.org/support/users/unoriginal23/) * (@unoriginal23) * [10 years, 3 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/extortion-2/) * I’ve always used this plugin and it has been great, but now suddenly I am unable to migrate my site because it is over an arbitrarily imposed size limit, and so I must now pay $59 to be able to upload a slightly larger file. $59!!! that’s outrageous. I understand, you have to make money somehow, and i would pay it if i was getting $59 worth of actual value, but this size limit is completely arbitrary and exists for the sole purpose of extorting money from users. I am extremely pissed off, and will certainly think twice before using any of their plugins ever again. What complete asshats. It’s not even an hours worth of work. In just 3 weeks, I’ve used this plugin at least 10 different times, with different clients. Convert those 10 times into the old way of migrating clients : – login to Plesk – export database, save locally– tar and zip files over ssh, save locally – login to Plesk at new domain – install wordpress – overwrite database with my .sql file – upload all the files, uncompress and extract in directory – edit records in the _options using phpMyAdmin – hope it all works * Yeah …….. 60 bucks is not so much. * [Jatupon Rattanapanop](https://wordpress.org/support/users/emilybkk/) * (@emilybkk) * [10 years, 2 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/extortion-2/#post-8077863) * At least that $59 is for Lifetime = Forever I think that is more than worth! It’s a Pay-Once-Use-Forever deal! What is your problem?? * The developer has to earn his life, and if you want upgrades and new features… make a little contribution.
