 * Hello,
 * first, I have to say that the I like the plugin very much. But I couldn’t make
   Extra capability option work as intended.
 * I’ve got two users (main-admin and normal-admin). Both of them have their own
   ROLE (set by [https://cs.wordpress.org/plugins/members/](https://cs.wordpress.org/plugins/members/)),
   both of them have the same capabilities (same as WP’s default Administrator).
 * And now: I need normal-admin to have access only to reduced version of the menu(
   for the sake of simplicity). So for the selected menu items I changed Extra capability
   field to role “main-admin”.
 * But nothing happened – normal-admin can still see these items. Or to be precise–
   it didin’t worked on root items, but worked well on submenu items.
 * To give it another try, I created extra capability “admin_menu_full_access” just
   for the main-admin with the same result.
 * Any ideas what am I doing wrong? I know I could use Pro version, but it seems
   to me, that this method should work (and it works with sub-menus).
 * Thanks
    Petr

 * You’re not doing anything wrong. The problem is that WordPress menu permissions
   are a bit unintuitive. Specifically, changing the capability associated with
   a root menu does not affect its submenu items. It only affects those items that
   have the exact same URL as the root item. This behaviour is part of WordPress
   core, not a restriction imposed by the plugin.
 * The upshot is that you have to change the extra capability of all of the submenu
   items, not just the root item.

 * Hi,
 * Based on this, is it possible to add a feature for changing permissions on all
   menu items ?
