This plugin places all images in a post, in a <meta property=”og:image”> tag.
Since Facebook default takes the image with the largest pixels, you have less control wich image will be choosen by Facebook.

I would like to have an option instead of adding all images to the tags, only take the ‘Featured Image’ (if exists in the theme).(https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/)

Or even beter an option, per post, where you can select an image.
So you can have an featured image and another og:image.

    Hi Tim,

There is a metabox feature called ‘Global image override’ which lets you enter the url of an image that overrides all the attached/featured images of the post. The feature needs to be enabled in the settings (Settings->Metadata).

The URL currently has to be entered manually. In the future I’ll try to make it more user friendly perhaps by adding a javascript dialog.

    Kind Regards,
    George

    Sorry for the late reply.

The ‘Global image override’ feature is exactly what i was looking for.

    Tim,

Also please check the new ‘Media Limit’ option in the settings page. It can help limiting the image metadata to the first image found (featured image or first attached image in the post).

    Kind Regards,
    George
