 * Upon plugin activation, add to cart is gone, and no download button appears. 
   I am not sure if this plugin was tested properly. Deleted.

 * If you’re using a theme builder like Elementor you may need to add the [download_now_page]
   shortcode to your page template. If not, check your product actually has downloadable
   files. No button will show if there are no downloads for the product.

 * My product definitely has downloads. I can checkout for free and then go to my
   downloads and download a zip file.
 * I am using elementor on my product page, but not my products archive page. The
   download button does not show on either.

 * Add my shortcode from my above post to your product page template and see if 
   it works there.
 * For the archive/shop page try enabling the “allow download from shop/archive 
   pages” setting from the General Settings page.

 * I did check that box prior still no luck. I am moving in a different direction
   here, thanks for responding though.
