Hello, I am on GeneratePress premium theme “GP Premium Version 2.5.5”. I updated my website php to 8.4 today, looked at the site on my desktop computer, and the site was tablet width with a big white border around it. I reverted back to php 7.4 and the site went back to normal.

What could be causing this? The only new thing that I did on the site recently was install reCAPTCHA v3 plugin for the contact form. Could reCAPTCHA v3 be causing this problem?

How can I update to php 8.4 and keep the site how it looks on desktop now?

I appreciate any help I can get on this. Thank you in advance!

    * I tried it in Chrome, Edge and Firefox and they all looked the same.
    * I am running Windows 11 with WP version 6.8.2.
    * My plugins are up to date except one that does not work with php 7.4 but it’s not a critical plugin.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

The cause can vary, I would suggest doing the update on a staging site, if the issue occurs, disable all plugins, if the issue is gone, re-enable them one at a time to see which one is causing the issue.

However, we are not allowed to support questions related to GP Premium per WP regulation, I would recommend posting your question in GP’s premium support forum. https://generate.support/, so we can offer better support there.

Unfortunately, I do not have GP Premium support. My developer disappeared. 🙁

I apologize I read the rules but didn’t see where I wasnt support to post about GP Premium. I originally went to GP site, clicked support, but it said for free support go to ww.wp.xz.cn. That’s how I got to here.

We are sorry to hear that but that does not change anything.

The developer cannot and must not support GP Premium users on ww.wp.xz.cn. That is not permitted for anyone and you cannot be supported here.

For pro or customer support, please contact the developer on their site. This includes pre-sales information.

As the developer is aware and explained, customers and premium users may not be supported on this site.

If the GP Premium support is not available to you then you need to either find your developer and have them get your paid support. Or stop using the premium version of the plugin.

Thank you for the clarification. I just want to acknowledge that I was not trying to ask for support again— I was simply apologizing for my earlier mistake! This is actually my first time using this forum as the owner of the site. I did read through the support documentation, but I genuinely didn’t see that specific rule. I meant no harm and was not trying to break any guidelines. I understand and respect the rules here and will be more mindful going forward.

    Thanks again for your time.

Thank you @yingscarlett for your reply and for informing me about the rules. I simply did not know.
