# Failed Update

 * I tried to auto-update my WordPress site, and it failed. It is now giving me 
   an error. Every time I try to fix the code it gives me a different error.
 * This is what it says: Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening
   required ‘/home/a6653862/public_html/wp-includes/deprecated.php’ (include_path
   =’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/a6653862/public_html/wp-settings.

 * What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this?

 * Try a [manual update](http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update)
   after a [full backup](http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups) of your site
   files and DB…you may also be able to contact your host and ask to restore both
   your site files and db to a recent date.
