Hello, I have a woo commerce site hosted on Network Solutions. The ssl is provided through network solutions. We have not been able to get the shopping cart to work. It lets you go through the process but when you submit your order it fails on all gateway’s. Including paypal. I have installed your plugin but no change. Have you seen this before and do you have any suggestions? I have the settings in general to https://kraftank.com.

I’m considering moving the site to a new host and see if that fixes the issue but of course would like to avoid this as this is where the client has their account. The site url is http://www.krafttank.com. Thanks for your help.

    G’day blueoctane,

    From the FAQ:

For websites hosted by Network Solutions, try downloading this gist and saving it into your plugins folder, then enable the plugin “Force SSL URL Scheme”.

The explanation can be found on my blog post, WordPress is_ssl() doesn’t work behind some load balancers.

I took a look at the site, but apart from some images loaded on the home page with http:// paths, I can’t see a problem with the shop, cart, or checkout pages. Did you already fix the problem?

    cheers,
    Ross

    Hello Ross,

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I had already read you’re blog and installed your plugin with no change. That’s how I found the support. Everything works as I said except when you go to “submit order”. It just cancels the order and gives an error. Doesn’t matter what payment gateway I’m using. That’s why I thought it had to do with the SLL.

Any other suggestions would be great? If I can’t get it working I’m moving the hosting to another provider to see if that fixes it. Thanks for your help.

Looks like you actually don’t need either of my plugins; WooCommerce already does much of what SSL Insecure Content Fixer does, and the is_ssl-test.php script is telling me that your website actually can detect SSL just fine. Try deactivating my plugins, and see what happens without them. If you still have a problem, best next stop is the WooCommerce support forum or the support forum for your specific payment gateway.

    cheers
    Ross
