# Fallback Roles Feature Request

 * Perhaps this isn’t the best forum for this, but I’m looking to make a feature
   request. Is there any way to get a paid role to fallback to a free role upon 
   expiration?
 * For example, I have two roles: free and paid. I use the free subscription to 
   gather emails for MailChimp. Meanwhile, the paid subscription is used to unlock
   extra articles. If a user chooses to stop paying their subscription, I’d like
   for them to automatically drop into the free tier rather than have an expired
   account.
 * Currently, this isn’t a problem for me as I don’t have any paid subscribers. 
   But, I don’t want to have this turn into a maintenance issue in the future.
 * Also, is there any way I can help with this project to make this feature happen?

 * Thank you! In other words, I would need to create some page that’s open only 
   to paid subscribers with a “downgrade to free” button. That’ll work for my expired
   users.
 * In terms of active subscribers, what happens if they hit the button? Will it 
   cancel their PayPal subscription?

 * The plugin will make the necessary changes if a member who has paid for a subscriptions
   changes to a free account. However please check those who decide to change from
   a paid to a free membership account. Make sure the plugin has made the correct
   adjustments. Report back if this does not occur.
