• I agree that it’s a great plugin but am deducting a star because I agree with those who object to the pricing model for the pro version. Some of us don’t migrate sites every month, and newly developed sites being uploaded from my local computer may not run against the size limit, so why pay $29 or more per month just for one site that is too big to upload back into production? It would be nice to have a reasonable one-time fee per large site and/or a budget pricing plan option where you get “x” number of large site uploads per month. I really like to support plug-in developers, but as I am just starting out, I don’t have the volume to justify paying for pro versions of a number of plugins.

    The program was very helpful for downloading a production site to localhost (run under Local by Flywheel – once I figured out the file that ACTUALLY changed the default 300 mg local import size limit for localhost:
    … _Windows-user-name_\Local Sites\_my-site-name_\conf\php\php.ini.hbs. The line of code that mattered was:
    upload_max_filesize = 300M
    )

    Before that I used another plug-in but the free version there requires a few extra steps to get the newly-imported website to point to the right database, and I believe it also has its own size limitation for the free version. On the other hand, the import function is a full installation of both WordPress itself and the copy of the website. I’m more likely to screw up the database than the WordPress installation, so I prefer All-in-One WP Migration. However, for the other plugin, the Pro version offers more reasonable pricing, especially considering the extra features you get, including easier database handling and the ability to schedule automatic cloud storage backups. So if I have to pay current prices, I won’t be getting All-in-One WP Migration.
