# Fatal Error

 * I just installed this plugin and immediately got the following error out of the
   blue: Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_roles() in D:\inetpub\webs\MYWEBSITE\
   wp-content\plugins\edit-author-slug\includes\functions.php on line 832
    I’m awfully
   not sure which WP version I have, and I can’t check it now – well, I can’t even
   surf my site as a normal guest ’cause I only get the said error. Surely, it was
   not the latest one – my fault. Any help would be really appreciated.

 * The quickest way to regain access is to login via FTP, rename the edit-author-
   slug folder, the reload the the admin. This will force Edit Author Slug to be
   deactivated. From there we can work it out.

 * Wow, thank you for answering so quickly.
    It was WP 4.0.1 (yeah, rather not updated),
   I didn’t check 4.4 or more was required. It seems like it’s working fine now,
   thanks again for your support.
