 * Hi,
 * I got an email from WordPress the other day that said a fatal error was on my
   site. The page it had issues with is a landing page. Any insight you can give
   me is great. Thanks for your help!
 * (I have since disconnected Yoast, but would like to use it again if possible)
 * This is what the error message said…
 * “Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or
   theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated
   email.
 * In this case, WordPress caught a fatal error with one of your plugins, Yoast
   SEO.
 * First, visit your website ([https://bankruptcylouisville.net/](https://bankruptcylouisville.net/))
   and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught
   [https://bankruptcylouisville.net/get-help/”](https://bankruptcylouisville.net/get-help/”)
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ffatal-error-3293%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Within the email, it usually includes the error that triggered the email to be
   sent. Please reply with the full error message.

 * Hi,
 * We would like some more information.
 * 1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v12.1? If you update,
   does the issue resolve?
 * 2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
 * If all are updated, we’d ask that you please try to re-install the plugin using
   File Transfer Protocol as it appears a file may be missing or was not installed
   correctly. This guide explains more: [https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#ftp](https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#ftp).
 * If you are not sure how to use FTP your host provider can help or may offer a
   different way to install the plugin in the file structure of your site.

 * Hi… 🙂 I had to disconnect Yoast since it was causing the fatal error. But, all
   plugins and Yoast were up to date prior to the error. I can reactivate Yoast,
   but would rather do it when I know you will be looking at the backend. I don’t
   want my site to crash when customers need it. Thanks.
