# Fatal Error

 * When I attempt to login to my wp-admin page it get the following error message:
   Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_rtl() in /home/content/48/7939348/
   html/wp-includes/general-template.php on line 2102
 * I have recently updated to version 3.3.1 and the good folks over at godaddy.com
   have suggested the problem may be caused by a plug-in being incompatible with
   the newer version of WordPress.
 * As I am unable to access my admin dashboard is it possible to disable the offending
   plug-in via the FTP File Manager and how do I go about identifying and disabling
   the offending plug-in?

 * Simply FTP in and rename your plugins folder to something else… like plugins-
   old. That will disable all plugins by default. Once you fix the issue, rename
   the folder back to plugins and active your plugins one by one to find the culprit.

 * Hi, I just tried to change the theme and have got a fatal error also and am unable
   to login. Could you please be a little more detailed with your recommendation.
   I am a bit of a dummy!

 * Well, I’m not sure why you are changing your theme. Your original request was
   due to a possible plugin issue. So log in through `FTP`… then go to the wp-content
   folder and look for a folder called plugins. Rename this folder to something 
   like plugin-old. This will deactivate all the plugins, and also make WordPress
   think they don’t even exist. Some plugins, even when disabled, will still cause
   issues.
 * Once this is done, you should hopefully be able to log in to the admin area and
   do what you need to do to fix any other issue. You can rename the plugins-old
   folder back to plugins and then activate your plugins one at a time, testing 
   along the way to see which one might be the culprit. Let me know if this is helps.
