 * I would recommend to download the archive for your version from here: [https://wordpress.org/download/releases/](https://wordpress.org/download/releases/)
 * Unzip it on your local system and upload and overwrite the folders /wp-admin/
   and /wp-includes/ via FTP.

 * Done that but may not have worked. Need to clear cache and browser history as
   still getting that error.
