 * I made the mistake of attempting to upgrade to 3.4 this morning and have done
   nothing but pull my hair out. I encountered the following – Fatal error: Allowed
   memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/
   acpscom/public_html/homecare/wp-admin/includes/update.php on line 198
 * I have tried adding the php.ini memory file update which did not help…. even
   went has high has 256. I have then came across the Fatal error posting [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-on-upgrade-allowed-memory-size-exhausted](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-on-upgrade-allowed-memory-size-exhausted)
   I updated the memory limit as instructed but that still does not solve the problem.
 * Just so that everyone knows I am just good enough to be dangerous at this and
   believe me i will ask a lot of questions if i do not understand what to do. This
   is my business site so I need to figure out how to fix this.
 * Thanks a million, Moe

 * You set memory as high as 256 what? Megabytes? Kilobytes? Bytes?
 * You edited your php.ini file to change this value? Not your wp-config.php? Or
   both? You may need to try both.
 * You actually have the physical memory on the machine that you are trying to allocate?

   had that in the post sorry….
 * Thanks Monus

   71 bytes) in /wp-includes/cache.php on line 508 “
 * thanks!!
