Fatal error: Call to undefined function generate_get_layout()

    Hi there – I absolutely love this theme.

    I recently moved a site from one host to another, but on the same domain.

    It’s now however throwing up a host of strange errors.

    The homepage was slightly modified, but the errors it’s throwing up are beyond me.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function generate_get_layout() in /home/themg/public_html/XXXXXX/wp-content/themes/generatepress/inc/extras.php on line 33

    Could anyone help, I would be so grateful!

    Hi Liam,

    generate_get_layout() is a new function found in functions.php – has this file been modified? Did you update the theme completely?

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks so much for making contact.

    Umm, I don’t *think* so. We had someone who helped to modify the homepage to add some further widgets and we can’t make contact with him.

    Can I copy n paste the functions code into this page to show you?

    That may be messy.

    I would try re-updating the site.

    1. Download a fresh copy of GeneratePress from this site.
    2. Replace all files in “wp-content/themes/generatepress” via FTP with your newly downloaded version.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Have you made any customizations to the core theme files?

    Any changes made using the theme options in the Dashboard won’t be touched by replacing the files.
