 * Hi,
    Installed WP on own server but have last days started getting the following:
 * **Fatal error: Call to undefined function reset_mbstring_encoding()** in […]/
   wp-includes/class-http.php on line 194
 * Might be related to the (automagic) update to 3.8.1
 * I have deactivated plugins and removed the little [snippet of code](http://css-tricks.com/snippets/wordpress/remove-privateprotected-from-post-titles/)
   that I had put in earlier.
 * The error results in multiple problems including no-one being able to post comments
   and serious problems in the administration of the blog.
 * In addition, I don’t know how to install plugins (like [the Beta Tester](http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-beta-tester/))
   via the Dashboard in order to maybe get some help from updates.
 * Help?
