 * Hi everybody,
 * I was about to install the latest version (3.9.1) manually but something went
   wrong.
 * I can’t log in any more and can not see the dashboard.
    The only thing I get
   is this message:
 * **Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_users_drafts() (previously declared in /www/
   htdocs/w00b2d53/wp-admin/includes/user.php:242) in /www/htdocs/w00b2d53/wp-admin/
   admin-db.php on line 9**
 * At least the blog is still running.
    Has anybody experienced this kind of error
   and can help me what to do?
 * Thanks a lot

 * Older versions of WordPress had the `get_users_drafts()` in a different location.
   Looks like the manual update wasn’t complete and residual files from an older
   version are still present on the server. This is creating a conflict as a function
   name can only be defined once.
 * You will want to make a backup and then follow the update process here: [Updating_WordPress#Step_1:_Replace_WordPress_files](http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Step_1:_Replace_WordPress_files).
   Pay particular attention to **4. Delete the old `wp-includes` and `wp-admin`
   directories on your web host **.
 * In the future, it’s best to use the one-click update function within the WordPress
   dashboard. That update method is designed to make sure all residual older files
   are deleted and eliminates the possibility of a hiccup in the FTP process causing
   you grief.

 * Thank you for your help.
 * With your description I could succesfully solve my problem.
