# Fatal Error in Jetpack Plugin

 * Hello,
 * I’m experiencing a critical error on my WordPress installation related to the
   Jetpack plugin. WordPress sent an automated message indicating that Jetpack is
   causing a fatal error on the site.
 * Here are the details:
    - WordPress version: 6.8.1
    - Jetpack version: 14.7
    - PHP version: 8.4.3
 * **Error message:**
 * An `E_ERROR` occurred on line 32 in the file:
   `/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack_vendor/
   automattic/jetpack-publicize/src/class-publicize-utils.php`
 *     ```wp-block-code
       Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function Automattic\Jetpack\Publicize\get_current_screen()  
       in /wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack_vendor/automattic/jetpack-publicize/src/class-publicize-utils.php:32
       ```
   
 * Stack trace continues through several Jetpack files, eventually halting execution.
 * This error prevents access to some admin pages, including `/wp-admin/network/
   about.php`.
 * Could you please investigate and advise on how to resolve this?

 * Thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the trouble! Have you checked if the
   issue persists also after updating Jetpack to its latest version? It’s version
   14.8
 * If that’s so, we need to investigate a bit further to know more about the issue(
   and thanks for sharing so much info already!) and try to replicate it.
