 * I guess this is probably inevitable since the plugin page already warns about
   it not being updated in 3 years, but seeing this on a host running PHP 7.3:
 * AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Cannot declare class Result,
   because the name is already in use in /usr/local/www/rfabc/html/wp-content/plugins/
   search-regex/models/result.php on line 3’, referer: [https://rfabc.example.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?plugin_status=all&paged=1&s](https://rfabc.example.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?plugin_status=all&paged=1&s)
 * Get this when clicking the ‘search regex’ link under ‘tools’.

 * My hosting provider says it’s not compatible with 7.1 either.
 * This is a real shame as it’s such a useful plugin. I’d pay for it!

 * I’ve been using this one:
 * [https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-search-replace/)
 * It works, but it’s a bit more complex than I need.

 * Hi sporkme. Thanks for that. Yes, I use Better Search Replace, but unfortunately,
   so far as I know, it won’t do searches using regular expressions. I think Search
   Regex is the only plugin that does this.
 * You can do a search and replace with regular expressions in phpMyAdmin, but it’s
   scary stuff: search and replace in phpMyAdmin is scary enough on its own without
   adding regular expressions into the mix.

 * For what it’s worth, I’ve been using this plugin on PHP 7.0.33 for awhile and
   not getting that error.
