# Fatal Error – Plugin

 * I’m new to WordPress and trying to figure it out. I updated to a new version (
   it was either 3.6 or 3.6.1) of WP and now I get this error message and cannot
   log in.
 * Fatal error: Cannot redeclare has_shortcode() (previously declared in /nfs/c06/
   h04/mnt/155907/domains/juliadv.com/html/wp-includes/shortcodes.php:153) in /nfs/
   c06/h04/mnt/155907/domains/juliadv.com/html/wp-content/plugins/mybooks-for-authors/
   ot-functions.php on line 49
 * Apparently the MyBooks plugin is incompatible. Do I just remove the plugin on
   my FTP server under wp-content>plugins? Or is there something else I need to 
   do.

 * Thanks WPYogi. I’ve clicked on the plugin and just tried to delete it, but that
   does nothing. How do I get rid of it? Thanks again.

 * If your FTP isn’t working, check on the permissions and/or ask your hosting company
   for help.
