# Fatal error problem

 * Hi,
 * I just installed Next Gen gallery and a soon as i went to use it i got a Fatal
   error:
 * > Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate
   > 7680 bytes) in /home1/statelyp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/
   > products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/mvc/class.mvc_view_element.php on line 
   > 81
 * Im running Customizr and that is it.
 * Is this my servers fault? i read some people thought it was that?
 * But i saw a post by one of the developers saying they know the problem and ask
   they you go back to a previous version?…but that was a while ago, like 3-4 months….
   did they fix it?

   you have a very low PHP memory limit. You have to [increase it](http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP)
   by your own if you can, or if not you have to ask to your hosting provider.
    
   If he says “no”, change provider because 40 MB of memory it’s not enough.

 * Thanks Tizz, im prettty sure it is the server i am on (suppsbly they are unlimited,
   well i bought unlimited.)
 * they also where running an old version of PHP, and i need php5.3.1… so they are
   migrating me across to another server, hopefully they allocate me more memory
   as well.
