 * Greetings,
 * I have installed the newest update to the plugin and I was suddenly greeted with
   this message:
 * Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘WP_Defender\Controller\Tutorial’ not found
   in /autoinstalator/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/defender-security/main-activator.
   php:238 Stack trace: #0 /autoinstalator/wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(

 * I am not very IT savvy so I just called up my hosting company and they deactivated
   the plugin. There is another issue with my domain and I have to register a new
   one but this happened before my domain expired. I just wanted to show you guys
   that there might be an issue with the newest update. I keep the plugin deactivated
   for now, as the site is not accessible right now anyway.
 * But is there a way to revert to an older version of this plugin? I don’t know
   when my site will be back online but I would like to have some sort of security
   when the time comes.
 * Regards,
    Lalwende

 * That happened to me too. I renamed it in FTP and was able to log in and delete
   the plugin and now site is working again. Same error message about tutorial.
   I hope we get a response soon.

 * I reinstalled – and disabled autoupdate – and maybe that fixes it. Otherwise,
   the plugin has been very reliable, so I’m guessing it may have succumbed to autoupdate.

 * Hi [@lalwende](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lalwende/)
 * Sorry to hear you are having this problem.
 * Could you please try to reinstall the plugin and check if this makes any difference?
 * You can remove the disabled version, and then install it again from the WordPress
   > Plugins > Add New
 * I tested updating on my end but I couldn’t replicate the problem.
 * Hey [@dskirk](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dskirk/)
 * Can you confirm that the plugin is working now?
 * In case the problem persists, could you please create a new ticket and we can
   take a closer look.
 * Best Regards

 * Thanks for responding, Patrick. Yes, after reinstalling, everything is working
   fine. Defender is a great plugin and my guess is the autoupdate may have caused
   the issue. I don’t anticipate any problems, but if one emerges, I’ll open a new
   ticket.
