# Fatal Error – unexpected T_STRING

 * I’m setting up a new installation and got this error when I tried to activate
   the plugin. Any ideas about how to fix it?

 * Hi Iulia. Thanks so much for getting back to me. I’m running WP version 4.9.8
   and PHP 5.6.30

 * Hi Isara,
 * The PHP version is quite old. I could test with a 5.6.33 and cannot replicate
   the issue.
    Perhaps try to replace `\WP_CLI\Utils\` with `WP_CLI\Utils\` and 
   if you do not need to run the WP-CLI commands at all, you can remove all the 
   lines starting with 2615.
