    Hello,

I have installed the Give plugin, but each time I go to activate it, it gives me this message:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function give_get_settings() in /home/cassianpeterman/public_html/wp-content/plugins/give/give.php on line 264

I am using the Avada theme, but have already tried changing to a different theme, but the problem still occurs. None of the the other plugins I activate give me this problem.

Does anyone know how to go about fixing this?
    Thanks!

    Hey @cassian – that’s strange – The function give_get_settings is included right before that line 264 https://github.com/WordImpress/Give/blob/master/give.php#L263

Did you FTP the plugin to your server or are you installing from the plugin directory within WordPress’ admin?

Hello, thanks for the response. I’ve been trying to install it from within the WordPress admin. Should I try installing it through FileZilla?

That’s really strange you’re getting an error trying to install from the WordPress admin. I haven’t heard any other reports of that. If that’s not working then I would either download it from ww.wp.xz.cn and use the upload functionality within the WP-admin or yes, use FTP via Filezilla or your favorite client, to upload it manually.
