 * I’m experiencing the same thing. The error is related to this:
 * > Prior to PHP 5.5, empty() only supports variables; anything else will result
   > in a parse error. In other words, the following will not work: empty(trim($
   > name)). Instead, use trim($name) == false.
 * The docs say PHP version 5.2.4 or greater is supported, but because of this bug,
   it’s not.
