 * I just installed this plugin and got a Fatal Error when I activated it.
 * WordPress version: 4.6.1
    WooCommerce version: 2.6.4
 * **Error**
    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in /home/cpaneluser/
   public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-catalog-for-woocommerce/simple-catalog-
   for-woocommerce.php on line 243

 * Apologies for the delay in responding. I just tried activating it on a test install
   with WP 4.6.1 and WC 2.6.4 and didn’t have an issue. I also made sure to delete
   the old settings from my DB to make sure that wasn’t covering up any issues as
   well.
 * Are you still able to replicate the issue?
 * What happens when you save the settings (WooCommerce > Settings > Simple Catalog)
   and then try deactivating and reactivating?
 * What theme are you using on the site?
 * Let me know how you go.
