 * Hello Maeve, or anyone else that might be able to help…
 * When I try to activate the PayPal Responder plugin, I get an error message saying:
 * > Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
   > Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/wp-content/
   > plugins/paypal-responder/ipn.php on line 61
 * I’m running the latest version of WordPress (4.1) and downloaded the latest version
   of the plugin (1.2). I’ve tried deactivating all of my other plugins but still
   got the same response.
 * Does anyone have any suggestions?
 * Many thanks,
    Tim. [http://www.thenextchallenge.org](http://www.thenextchallenge.org)

 * I think that this error message is being caused because you do not have curl
   module on your server. It’s not an error in the plugin, it’s a script library
   that you need to be running on your server.

 * Wonderful, thanks so much for this Maeve, particularly as it was a problem at
   my end and not yours.
 * Enabling CURL on my server fixed it. Assuming the free version works as I hope
   then I’ll be buying Pro version shortly.
 * Thanks again,
    Tim.

 * Awesome! Glad to hear that was indeed the problem and you got it fixed up easily
   🙂
 * Cheers,
    Maeve
