I have been having an issue since the 5.0.4 update. The plugin installs but will not activate. * Getting error (some of parts omitted for privacy): * Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in /home/(user)/public_html/( site root folder)/wp-content/plugins/sg-cachepress/core/Admin/Admin.php on line 25 * I have tried updating to 5.0.5 and today with 5.0.6 and still get errors when trying to activate. * I tried also removing the plugin folder and doing and fresh install to 5.0.5 but still got stuck with activate. Please, switch to PHP 5.6 at least and everything will work just fine. You can either delete or rename that folder. The SG Optimizer plugin is designed to work only on SiteGround Servers. We’ve deactivated it because it may render your site blank if used on another environment.
