I’m loving the new Cloudinary plugin with one exception. It seems to be causing a problem with my favicon. I get multiple 404 errors in my console for different crops of the favion. I’m using the built-in WordPress favicon ability that can be found under Appearance->Customizer->SiteIdentity. As soon as I deactivate the Cloudinary plugin, the 404s go away.

    Hi,

It appears there is another plugins or page builder might be adding dimensions at the end of the URL.
The valid image URL is https://res.cloudinary.com/dunkimages/image/upload/kite-mn-prod/cropped-favicon.png.

Can you check if you are using a specific page builder or plugin that could interfere with Cloudinary plugins?

    Regards,
    Erwin Lukas

Thanks for the response Erwin. To test your thought if a plugin or theme was causing the problem, I spun up a completely bare WordPress install with the default theme and no plugins at all. After that I uploaded a favicon through the WordPress customizer default functionality and I get those same images with the dimensions in the URL. This is default WordPress functionality, so the Cloudindary plugin should support it.

Here is a screenshot of them showing up in the default install:

    Hi,

Thank you for the info and you are right. This seems to be a bug that might be introduced with the latest version. Can you give it a try with the previous version 2.0.3? You can download it at the bottom of this page:

Let me know how it goes.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you Erwin. I gave 2.0.3 a try and I didn’t see the errors anymore. Hope your team can figure out a fix for the latest release! Thanks!
