FB 1.5.4 missing comments and incorrect likes.

I’m running the latest WP (3.8) with FB 1.5.4 and I’m seeing various issues, which will either keep me from rolling out my site or it’ll mean limited Facebook integration up-front.

Total number of comments is incorrect (http://www.i33021.com/2014/01/11/from-our-facebook-page/).
This shows a message with 2 comments.
That number is incorrect. Currently there are 3 comments associated with that post (https://www.facebook.com/i33021/posts/708265742530823).
The site shows 8 likes, however it’s never been clicked. Our FB page doesn’t show any likes and it’s just me testing. I have never clicked like.
To make matters worse I started with a singe post “From our Facebook Page”, yet somehow on Facebook.com it’s been split into 2 threads. One with 3 comments (previous URL) and another (https://www.facebook.com/i33021/posts/708281835862547) which has 2 comments.

The total number of comments displayed in the .comments-link meta section is powered by fb:comments-count. The Facebook SDK for JavaScript loaded for the page fetches this information for the passed URL. Issues with count would apply across Facebook integrations, not just the Facebook plugin for WordPress.

I see two comments on that page: both from Bill Haberkam. The comments area is rendered in the context of your logged-on Facebook account and permissions. If you have the ability to moderate comments you may see more comments than the published comments number (published + waiting for moderation).

A comment on your Facebook page is not the same as a comment on your website. A Facebook account with permission to create content for a given page creates a new post with a link attachment. A webpage with an associated Facebook app, and possible additional individual moderators, adds a Facebook Comments Box social plugin to a page. The Facebook Page accepts comments from Facebook accounts. The Comments Box accepts comments from Facebook accounts and optionally AOL, Microsoft, or Yahoo accounts.

Like count is total interactions. See the “What makes up the number shown next to my Like button?” section of the Like Button page.
