# FB Connection does not work – API error

 * Hi there,
    we are trying to connect to the Facebook page, but the only thing 
   we get is this error message. We already disabled the plugin, tried to reconnect,
   even with a different user. But it doesn’t seem to work.
 * Any idea what might be the issue?

 * Sorry for the late reply.
 * Please update the plugin to the latest version 1.7.4 and reconnect your FB connection
   in each collection:
 * 1. Go to the integration of your admin FB profile [https://web.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools&ref=settings](https://web.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools&ref=settings)
 * 2. Delete the Widgetpack application
 * 3. Go to your wp-admin
 * 4. Delete all connected FB widgets and shortcodes
 * 5. Create new widget and shortcodes and connect your FB page(s) again.
 * Sorry, we must changed the API permissions in the Facebook API and this steps
   are mandatory to fix the issue.
