• Our sports club uses WordPress provide competition updates (posts) live facility status updates (custom posts) and competition league results (pages). Although we use one page per year of competitions these can get quite long, and a Table of Contents (TOC) plugin provides useful navigational functionality for visitors. The problem is, there’s no navigation when editing the page, you just have to scroll to the section that you want.

    My feature request is that the existing Document Outline (via the ℹ︎ button at the top of the editor) be turned into a navigation tool by making the heading levels within the outline clickable. This wouldn’t add any weight to the editor and would provide much needed additional navigation for long pages and posts.
