# Feature request: Hooks

 * HI there,
 * You’re plugin seems really great. The one thing is that it looks like it’s hard
   to modify some of the functionality. How open are you to adding hooks (actions/
   filters) for modifying things like the shortcode output? Or, on the JavaScript
   side, firing some events when key actions are taken like selecting a video?
 * We would go in and do it ourselves but it would be great to not have to modify
   the plugin in case there are breaking updates in the future.

 * Hi Lizlux,
 * We have implemented in v2.3 the ‘ooyalaParameters’ function defined in the global
   Javascript namespace that allows JavaScript player parameters to be modified.
 * I know its not exactly what you are asking for but probably its something worth
   to check out.

 * Thanks for the info. In the mean time we’ve forked the plugin but only made a
   couple changes, so if hooks are added in the future, we should be able to switch
   back.
