# Feature suggestion: decrease relevance based on post’s date

 * Here’s a quick feature suggestion for Relevanssi: allow us to decrease posts’
   relevance score based on when they were posted, so that newer posts have a bigger
   chance of appearing on top.
 * It could be something like decrease 5% of a post’s relevance per year, since 
   it was originally published.

 * This feature already exists, but it’s in Premium and it’s a positive boost for
   recent posts.
