What is the optimal size for featured Images on the Virtue Theme?

I see a “Blog Post Summary Default” field with selections of Portrait Image and Landscape Image. Is this referring to the featured image?

Hey,
Yes, that is referencing the featured image. Larger images that are optimized are best. Something like 1600x1600px. You can read about image sizing and optimization here: https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/best-practices-for-images-sizes-and-optimization-in-wordpress/

Ok. What if I want to use a picture that is for Pinterest, a 2:3 ratio image?

In Theme Options > Blog Options you can set “Image Blog Post Summary Default” to “Portrait”. Does that work for you?

Hi,

I tested that out and both images displayed square (not landscape or portrait) on the blog archive page.
