Featured Post Notification

Hi,

We use a custom post type for video posts. The clients choose the category for their post front end when posting. We also have a hidden “Featured post” category that we manually enable in admin as an extra category if we really like their post.

I am wanting to create a message that will be sent to the author to tell them that their video has been featured if we edit the post and add that one category. Obviously I don’t want the email to be sent if we just edit a post it has to be that exact action.

Is this possible and can you help with how I might set that up?
