Hi. The XML sitemap and RSS feed generated by Yoast SEO is failing validation. Users are complaining they are unable to follow our website updates using a news aggregator or feed reader.

The problem is reproducible using the W3C validator, https://validator.w3.org/feed/ whose error message is: “this feed does not validate.”

Hello @fgnievinski,

Thanks for reaching out. /feed/ URLs, used by RSS readers, are not generated by Yoast but by WordPress itself. I validated this feed URL, and there are no errors. See screenshot. Also, your XML sitemap URL shouldn’t be validated in a feed validation service. Use this instead.

Thank you for the clarification. Indeed, the feed RSS is not to be confused with the posts sitemap, my bad.
