# Feed no validating

 * I installed a couple weeks ago and everthing seemed fine except that occasionally
   my url would return the “coming soon” default page instead of my page. Godaddy
   said it was because WP was not installed at the root. Wierd that it worked most
   of the time though. Anyway, I found this ([http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory](http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory))
   and got it fixed. My blod displays fine and everything seemed hunky dory until
   I tried to get my feed
 * I tried to add my feed to my Yahoo page(which I previously did successfully) 
   and then Google. I get the page that would preview posts and let me choose my
   reader but then Yahoo gave me a message that their was a problem with the post…
   ok. Google adds the box to my page with no data and the “information is temporarily
   not available”
 * I tried feedvalidator and got the following (truncated for length)

 * Hi,
    I figured it out. Because i changed the blog address (as opposed to wp address)
   to the root, the feed needed to be [http://ffiwot.com/wp-rss.php](http://ffiwot.com/wp-rss.php),
   NOT [http://ffiwot.com/wordpress/wp-rss.php](http://ffiwot.com/wordpress/wp-rss.php)
   even though the physical location of the files is [http://ffiwot.com/wordpress/](http://ffiwot.com/wordpress/).

 * Actually, your feed link should be [http://www.ffiwot.com/feed/](http://www.ffiwot.com/feed/)
   instead. Linking directly to the wp-whatever.php files is not recommended.
 * If you specifically want the rss1, rss2, or atom feeds, you can use these URLs:
