Hi @pghteam, thanks for reaching out.
Sometimes false-positives occur that you can safely ignore, but to be certain you could send us your diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.
Note: For the fastest response time, please make sure and add any information or questions directly to this topic and not the email address above unless asked.
I’ll check your scan results and see if there’s anything that might point to this being an unwanted change. Wordfence tries to verify whether a plugin or WordPress itself has been compromised, such as having additional unwanted code inserted by an attacker, by checking against what appears in the official ww.wp.xz.cn code repository.
Thanks,
Peter.
Hi @pghteam,
That is indeed correct, after more digging I’ve found the code update: https://plugins.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/changeset/2500079/.
Wordfence will only track these updates when the version number has been updated so you can safely ignore this alert for now.
Thanks,
Peter.
