# Filter by post format

 * In addition to being able to filter posts by date and category in the dashboard,
   it would be great to be able to filter by post format.
 * It’s not uncommon for me to want to do something to several video posts, several
   gallery posts, etc, and when you get a site with a lot of posts the ability to
   filter in this way would make finding the ones you want to work with much simpler
   and more efficient.

 * Thanks Steve, I can confirm for anyone reading that the plugin mentioned in that
   link, [Post Format Filter](https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-format-filter/),
   does still work despite being several years old. Surprised it isn’t more popular,
   to be honest!

 * Just wanted to note that I just tested and the plugin format filter plugin worked
   perfect, so you might wanna try it again if you’re still looking for a solution.
